Who We Are
Johnson Excavation Inc. was founded by Austin Johnson, whose passion for excavation was inspired by a legacy passed down through three generations. Austin's father introduced him to the industry, following in the footsteps of his own father. This deep-rooted family tradition of excavation continues to thrive today.
In January 2024, Austin and his wife Brooke purchased the assets of his father’s company, determined to carry on the family legacy. This has been Austin’s dream since childhood, and they feel blessed and grateful for the opportunity to bring it to life.
Austin is a Class A contractor specializing in Heavy Highway Construction, with over 10 years of professional experience. Raised in excavation, he feels most at home on the job site, where his passion for the work truly shines.
When he's not on site, Austin enjoys spending time with Brooke and their three children. His family cherishes visits to the job site, where his kids love to deliver materials and refreshments to the crew. Their two oldest children often talk about the “friends” and “uncles” they’ve gained among the crew, reflecting a strong sense of family that extends far beyond business.
Austin and his wife are deeply grateful for the talented crew they work alongside, considering them an extension of their family. They look forward to building lasting relationships and working with each and every client.
